Spices: From Flavor to Feeling
The series was never only about jars.
Learning spices one by one is useful. Cooking with them means deciding how they relate.
A grounding spice, a bright herb, a touch of heat, and something warm can turn a simple protein-and-vegetable plate into a meal with a point of view. That is the difference between seasoning and building flavor.
If a dish tastes busy, simplify. If it tastes flat, ask what is missing: depth, brightness, heat, or aroma. Spices answer those questions when you use them with intention.
